Stress Relief

You may not think of the summer time as being a stressful time of the year but we constantly have things in our life that will build up stress. It can even take a toll on our health and wellbeing. So many things cause unwanted stress- anything from moving, to cleaning, to roommates, and decorating. It is very important to do small things every day to relieve your stress.

Some stress relievers include: exercise, laugh!! talk to someone, sleep, listen to music, eat healthier, take a few minutes a day to organize your life, do something nice for someone else, take a bubble bath, do something creative, limit your cell phone and internet use, and start your day positive.

Doing at least one of these every day will help with stress immensely! Do you know any helpful ways to relieve stress? Let us know!

Remember to JUST BREATHE! It could always be worse!

2012 Summer Olympics

Here at The Preserve we are getting very excited for the Summer Olympics! Did you know that there are only a number of sports that have stuck with the Summer Olympics since the very beggining? They are athletics, swimming, fencing, and gymnastics!

Some other interesting sports that are no longer practiced in the Olympics today include tug-of-war, golf, rugby, polo, lacross, duelling pistol, tandem cycling, pigeon shooting, and one hand weight lifting. I'm sure you can understand why they no longer have duelling pistols in the Olympics anymore!
