Need a little help from our friends!

As most of you know our sister property Hampton Woods had a tragic loss, one building, due to a fire last Friday evening. There has been an amazing show of help from many already, however the residents who lost their homes are still in need of a few items. These items or anything else you can spare can be dropped off at our office. Please help if you can!

Deodorant, shampoo, soap, socks, towels, blankets and jackets. Of course anything else you can think of would be greatly appreciated. All donations can be accepted in the office. If you would like to make a monetary donation, that can be taken to the office or you can make the donation through the Red Cross for the residents.

The Red Cross has helped out tremendously but they are running low on resources from all the fires in Shawnee these past few weeks. If you would like to donate money or items to them you can visit them online www.redcross.com.

2. Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens: also in our neck of the woods, and such a pretty place!
3. Kaleidoscope: let your creative side shine!
4. Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art: always a good time especially for those rainy days
5. KC Northern Railroad: do you have a train lover in the family?
6. Lakeside Nature Center: let's learn about mother nature!
7. Free Friday night Flicks at Crown Center: who doesn't love a free movie?

Designing on a Dime

If you haven’t visited our clubhouse lately you probably don’t know all the lovely changes we have had done. With the economy being the way it has been we haven’t had the means to do a facelift in our office. We all put our heads together and figured out a way to turn everything around on a budget. We were able to use most of the furniture we already had and were able to get rid of the rest. We added a touch of color  with some accent pillows and accent walls! By adding the touch of color and rearranging the room just so, we were able to create a newly updated look that can be described as calming, simple and beautiful! You can do this too! If you are on a budget, try doing what we did. Rearranging your furniture, updating with a splash of color or even eliminating a few items from the room!

If you haven’t had the chance to see the new look, stop by soon! We would love to see your bright and smiling faces!

Don’t forget about Pinterest! This was very helpful in the process too!
